An Indian couple balancing full-time corporate jobs and part-time wanderlust — sharing honest itineraries, practical travel templates, and the small unforgettable stories from each trip.
We're two full-time professionals who happen to love travelling more than almost anything else. Our days are filled with meetings, deadlines, and laptops — but our weekends, public holidays, and every saved leave day go into exploring the world.
Desk2Destinations started as a personal notebook: lessons learned the hard way, hacks that saved us money, and routes that turned out to be worth the effort. It grew into a place to share those notes with other couples and weekend warriors who want to travel deeply without quitting their jobs.
We plan, travel, document, and publish. Every itinerary on this site is one we've personally walked. Every restaurant recommendation is one we've eaten at. Every "must-do" list comes from what actually worked — and the things we wish we'd known beforehand.
We focus on couples travel, slow exploration, and making the most of limited holidays. No staged shots. No paid placements pretending to be reviews. Just what we did, what it cost, and what we'd do differently next time.
If a place wasn't worth it, we say so. If a tour was overpriced, we mention it. Recommendations only mean something if the criticisms are real too.
You can see ten cities in ten days or one city deeply in three. We almost always pick the second — and write up what we actually experienced.
Bus timings, payment quirks, where to find vegan food at 9pm. The unglamorous details that make or break a real trip.
Apart from travelling, we love exploring food, watching movies and series, and reading books. These obsessions have a way of bleeding into our travel — we plan entire days around restaurants, hunt for bookshops in every new city, and quote favourite films on long train rides.
So we've started two small companion sections to this site:
Veg & vegan finds from around the world. Desserts get a small exception — we eat ones with egg — but everything savoury is strictly vegetarian or vegan.
Books we've actually finished and loved — travel memoirs, novels, non-fiction, and the odd guilty re-read. Honest takes, no affiliate noise.
The shows and films that travel with us — what we watch on flights, in hotel rooms, and on lazy Sundays back home. We are writing up our favourites — drop into Contact if you want a personal pick.
Got a question, a destination suggestion, or just want to swap travel stories? We'd love to hear from you.
